(For all the people who are huge & dedicated fans of the Transformers, I apologize in advance! Please keep in mind that this is my personal opinion & if you disagree, we can still be friends!)
What’s up guys, its Jay (ComicsAnalystJr) and today I’m gonna tell you guys about the new Transformers movie. (Spoilers ahead, you’ve been warned)
This movie has no point or specific reason for being made except to give Mark Wahlberg even more money!!! (Ahem.) Let me rephrase…
The new Transformers movie (Transformers: The Last Knight) is about Cade (Mark Wahlberg) living as an outlaw & protecting a few rogue Transformers. He is accompanied by Izabella (Isabela Moner), a 14 year old skilled mechanic & Jimmy (Jerrod Carmichael), Cade’s “assistant”. Eventually, Cade is picked up (I’m not getting into details) and taken to Sir Edmund Burton’s (Anthony Hopkins) mansion, where he meets Viviane Wembly (Laura Haddock). Sir Edmund tells Cade he’s been chosen to save the world & Viviane is going to be helping this time. The enemy is a “brainwashed” Optimus Prime and the creator of Optimus & his world, Quintessa (Gemma Chan).
The reason that I did not enjoy this movie was because it adds even more confusion into the entire Transformers’ franchise. This movie told us that Transformers have been around since the beginning of time and a bunch of other mumbo jumbo. It made our ability to follow the next movie that much harder & I’m sure the next movie will be more confusing than ever! This is a movie you go & see if you like seeing car parts flying all around or if you want to pretend to be a Transformer in the bathroom stall (don’t act like you’ve never done it).
Anyway, I’ve wasted far too much time on this one, but let me know if you agree/disagree?
Staying Short, Sweet & To The Point! This is Jay, signing off.
